 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Gale Peterson finds his newly published novel closer to reality than the usual science-fiction story. Announces Print-on-Demand Availability of Tears of the Willow at Lulu.com, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Borders, etc.

BELIZE, Central America—DECEMBER 1, 2006—It seemed pure science fiction when Gale Peterson began writing Tears of the Willow back in the late 1980’s. Now, with impending climate change and 40,000,000 infected with HIV-AIDS, the novel takes on frightening aspects of reality. The novel is now available at Lulu (www.lulu.com), the world’s fastest-growing provider of print-on-demand books.

The reality of Tears of the Willow becomes magnified in the 2006 bans against cloning, stem cell research along with the many religious and political attempts to regulate and control the sexual activity of our culture. These all merge into the background concept of the novel.

The novel is the story of Bluesky and Adam, created out of desperate scientific experiments in a hidden northern stronghold to continue a dying human race. The "Newborns" carry the seed for healthy, natural procreation plus the spiritual insight and mental powers to lift humankind to a higher level. The creators of these hybrid children would sterilize and destroy their abilities, seeing the maturing teenagers as a threat to their powerful hold over their entire closed enclave known as the Western Simulate.

Tears of the Willow is an adventure. The characters are mostly young and engaging, experiencing great challenges to overcome and survive in a North America that is barely recognizable, ranging from Colorado to Los Angeles and into the mountains near Prescott, Arizona.
